I recently realized that I have not been performing in my sweet spot. My life felt unbalanced and unfulfilling but I could not pinpoint the cause. I realized the problem was not in my activity or busyness. I am plenty busy. Not only that. I am plenty busy doing good things. But those good things took use of my time, and preventing me from doing the great things that I am called to do.

After gaining alot of weight, and a cluttered garage, I finally had to realize that I am not super woman. I am a wife, Mother, daughter, sister, friend, with two businesses, and I am a self…a being..who needs time for herself as well. While my ego loved the busyness, the need to feel important, the other areas of my life were being neglected. My health is not where I want it to be. My environment is not where I want it to be. Even my creative career was not where I wanted it to be. Everything was at the mercy of my Ego’s need to check things off of the box, and the more the merrier.

Well, not anymore….. I am learning, we can all get nowhere real fast, and even if we are not careful, we can allow our good things prevent us from doing that which we have been called to do. So take the time to examine your life and consider these question before you decide anything. Where will your impact be? Who will get your best self? Is this the best allocation of your time, gifts and talents. in the totality of your life? Lasty, Will this one thing enrich your life and those that you love. If the answer is no, then it is time to have a strong look at your ego.
