I remember when I was teaching myself photography. I was working so hard trying to learn how to photograph my clients to look like everyone else’s. I wanted to shoot at the same locations, I wanted to learn to make the background blurry like everyone else, I even wanted to use the same exact equipment as everyone else. I needed all of those things…so I believed…to be good enough. The whole time never realizing that it It was my eye, my vision, and how I connected with the people that made the difference. When I finally realized this, I own my work and my vision as a photographer!
Something similar happened in 2007 when I met my hubby. I had created my very first vision board ever. I remember it like it was yesterday. I carefully decided what I would place on my vision board. I took it to work with me and looked at it every day while I sat at my desk. One of the things that I had on my vision board was to complete the Peachtree Road Race. So I joined the Peachtree running club in Atlanta, and trained diligently with the running club. On July 4, I successfully completed the race. In October, I married my husband. Yes, He was present when I ran the Peachtree Road race, and he was actually on my vision board too. I had three things on my vision board. Everything that was on my vision board manifested itself that very same year. Again, It was me, my eye, my vision that made the difference.
I know what I am sharing is not rocket science. Everyone knows to do this, but not everyone does it. Why? Perhaps because deep down we believe It’s too good to be true. It’s just like believing in Santa Claus. Do you dare ask for what you REALLY WANT, or is it just safer to expect what everyone else has. Maybe this increases our odds of getting it if someone else already has it. After all, the statistics do not lie.
But what if you believed IN YOU as much as you did Santa Claus. I must admit, everytime I think of all the things that I have been able to accomplish, I cannot help but smile. I say to myself, “I actually created this for myself.” After doing this repeatedly, I definitely believe in myself, and I believe in the Real Santa Clause. Not the one who says… “HO, HO, HO!” but the one says, “Ask and it will be given to you: seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” What if you were willing to play all in and actually go for what you wanted. What if you were just willing to believe that it was possible for YOU?. How different would your life be?
Maybe you are willing, but you just don’t know how! If this is the case, and you are ready to go all it, then Join me in my free virtual training starting Thursday, January 3rd. I will share with you the steps you need to take to live inside out, and to BE YOU… in 2019. I will also do a bonus training on vision boards and how to use them to create what you truly want. Join me in my private fb group for the 4 day training. Click here to join.
